Type and Habit:  Evergreen clump forming perennial.
Average Height: Foliage to 1metre the flower spike can reach 1.5m
Soil:  Adaptable to a range of soils but the foliage is more lush in a moist soil with plenty of organic matter and a good mulch.
Aspect:  Full to part shade.
Foliage:  The large shiny dark green leaves have deeply cut edges and form a rounded clump
Flowers:  Early spring to summer tall spikes bearing white and mauve flowers.
Uses: Ground cover and foliage contrast in the shade or under trees and in tubs.
Features:  Tall spikes of flowers are quite dramatic; the shiny foliage is large lush and handsome. This plant is low maintenance in the right position.
