Soil:  Suits most well drained soils. Mulch well and feed annually with a slow release fertiliser.
Aspect:  Cabernet prefers to be grown in the full sun or part shade, it is tolerant to drought and tolerant to moderate frosts, it can be planted in coastal environments
Foliage: The plant features wonderful foliage coloured just like a Cabernet red wine that is sword shaped and can reach lengths of 1.5 metres.
Flowers:  After time, in summer white to cream flowers appear high above the foliage on long drooping panicles.
Uses: A great colourful addition to any garden or landscape, Cordyline Cabernet also looks very classy in decorative pots. Use en mass or as feature plants, use the foliage colour as a contrast in your garden. Row out in larger landscapes or plant in groups for spectacular effects.
