Type and Habit:  Rush like perennial. Australian Native.
Average Height:  1 - 1.3m.
Soil:  Moist to wet soil or in water to 200mm. Can be grown in dry land gardens also where it will be proportionally smaller in size.
Aspect: Full sun to part shade. Tolerates light frost.
Foliage:  Twisted, reed like grey-green foliage benefits from a cut back to 15cm every 3 – 5 years tp produce fresh new foliage.
Flowers/fruit:  The knobby seed heads are a contrasting feature from summer to winter.
Uses: As a feature in ponds or water features, coastal gardens, great in pots with gravel mulch.
