Average Height: 400mm x 400mm Soil: These plants grow on tree branches in their native environment and so require a very free draining mix like orchid mix. Aspect: Aechmea ‘Primera’ likes dappled shade or morning and late afternoon sun. Can be brought indoors while flowering in a high indirect light position. Foliage: Aechmea ‘Primera’ has silvery,dark green foliage heavily banded in silver in an urn shaped rosette and the leaf margins are smooth. Flowers: The pink flowers are very showy and last for quite a while. Uses: In pots and hanging baskets as an underplanting or filler in borders under shrubs and trees. Great for courtyards and balconies. Features: Tough and hardy with the right conditions Aechmea ‘Primera’ requires little attention and if grown in bright light and not overfed or watered they thrive.
