The Gymea Lily is a very hardy low maintenance plant with stunning foliage form and a very showy flower spike.
Type and Habit: Tall clump forming perennial Average Height: To 1.8m Soil: Adaptable to most well drained soils even rocky sandy soil. Feed with an organic fertilise annually and mulch well. Aspect: Full sun to part shade Foliage: Long bright green sword shaped leaves in a rosette form can be over a metre in length. Old foliage and spent flower spikes can be trimmed off. Flowers: The bright pinkish red flowers heads are displayed dramatically on a very long spike up to 3-4m. Uses: A striking accent plant where the whole plant can be displayed effectively.
