Soil:  Most soil types. Mulch well and fertilise annually for best results.
Aspect:  Full sun to part shade.
Foliage:  Leaves are oval shaped, greyish in colour with the undersurface covered with short hairs. Can be pruned to a formal hedge or left informal. Prune mainly after flowering.
Flowers: The bell shaped white Flowers occur mainly in late autumn and winter but occasional flowers will be seen at other times.  
Uses: Hedge to 1.5m, border, coastal gardens, foliage contrast. Can be grown in containers
Features: Drought tolerant, low maintenance, wind and slat tolerant, tolerates a wide range of soil types. The pretty white flowers show up nicely against the silvery foliage and are welcome in winter. Responds well to hedging.
