Soil:  Adaptable to most well drained soils. Mulch well and fertilise annually.

Foliage:  Attractive purple/coppery foliage responds well to regular tip pruning.
Flowers:  Bunches of unusual purple/red seeds in summer.
Uses: Hedging and screening in exposed windy sites, good soil stabiliser for erosion and banks.
Features:  A hardy plant with attractively coloured foliage, pollution, wind and drought tolerant.
