Type and Habit:  Long stemmed, clumping, evergreen perennial.

Soil:  Well drained moist soil.
Aspect:  Shade to part shade in a protected spot on the balcony, courtyard or in a well lit area indoors.
Foliage:  The paddle shaped leaves are beautifully marked with a dark green and pale grey-green feathered pattern and the undersides are red. Leaves are held on long elegant stems.

Uses: Great in pots for the balcony or courtyard, in a tropical garden they look very effective grouped together where they will clump and form a block of soft grey colour to contrast against other greens.
Features: Hardy and trouble free if placed correctly, the beautifully marked foliage is held high on long stems and the red undersides are a feature.
