Japanese Anemones are hardy perennials with pretty delicate looking flowers in autumn.

Type and Habit:  Evergreen spreading perennial.
Average Height:  Up to 500 mm
Soil:  Prefers moist well drained soil with plenty of organic matter and mulch.
Aspect:  Part to full shade.
Foliage:  The attractive dark green foliage is 3 lobed and grows in a rounded mound. Do not disturb the clump if possible.
Flowers:  The single white flowers with yellow stamens are held above the foliage on long stems up to 1 metre in late summer to mid autumn.
Uses: Ground cover under trees shaded gardens cottage gardens
Features: Anemone japonica is a hardy flowering perennial that does well in the shade. The delicate looking saucer shaped flowers are held gracefully above the foliage and are a welcome addition in autumn.
