Clivia Belgian Hybrids have welcome, bright colour in winter-spring and the handsome foliage is an attractive feature in itself.

Type and Habit:  Evergreen, bulbous, clump forming perennial.
Average Height:  500mm high the clump will expand with age.
Soil:  Most well drained soils. Do not over-water this plant does not like wet feet.
Aspect:  Part shade to shady.
Foliage:  Dark green strap like leaves with rounded tips are broader than the original species.
Flowers:  A cluster of brilliant bright orange-red funnel shaped flowers appear at the end of a stem approximately the same height as the foliage in winter to early spring.
Uses:  A good choice for dry shady areas and tubs where it flowers well when crowded.
