Japanese Box make wonderful topiary

Plant type:  Buxus micro 'Japonica'

Buxus micro japonica, Japanese Box, are used extensively for topiary work as they are extremely hardy, have small rounded glossy leaves and respond well to pruning and trimming - sending out new shoots wherever they are pruned to.  
Buxus are adaptable to most soils with moderate drainage but respond well to improved, well mulched soils.    
Buxus tolerate part shade but grow better and denser in full sun.    
To keep your Buxus Topiary  looking at its best all year feed it with an organic fertiliser in spring and again in early autumn.
